Will I be able to access the World Wide Web?

Bulletin Mail is an email to phone messaging service. If your phone has a WAP browser then it may be able to access the WWW. You may also be able to configure your Bulletin Mail account so you can receive an SMS alert of a message and then read more content via the WAP interface. See the user guide for more information.

If you are out of range or the phone is turned off when a message comes in, it is queued and delivered the next time you turn the phone on, or within range. The message is queued for up to seven days (network dependant), after which it will stop trying to deliver the message to your phone.|

You can also send a SMS to any email address using the SMS format of email address, space then your message content.

• Yes. You can initiate an email or reply to one from the Bulletin Mail Mobile site.

What is the URL (address) for accessing the WAP site?

• The Bulletin Mail WAP site can be accessed from your handset browser at http://bulletinmail.com/user

How do I know if my message was sent?

• Every carrier network is different, but when a message is sent there is usually some confirmation by the network that the message has been sent. Usually it says "Message Sent" or "Sent OK". If there is a network problem, a message will immediately come back saying "Message Not Sent" or the like. If this happens, there was just some network congestion, so simply resend the message.
If you get a successful send to the network, you can assume that the Internet message went as well. The Internet, however, does not have message acknowledgement. If you put in the wrong email address, or mistyped the domain name, you may get a message back from the internet (from the Message Delivery Subsystem, or something similar), but you may not, depending upon why the message failed. Check the Mail Log on the Bulletin Mail website to confirm that the system received your message.

How secure is my message? My personal information?

• The internet is an open system and email is generally not encrypted. Delivering an internet email to or from your phone does not change this.
Normal precautions should be taken about transmitting any sensitive or confidential information over open communications links such as the internet. Your personal information that you supply to this service when subscribing is kept private.

I am getting a message from "Mail Delivery Subsystem"

• This indicates that the Internet rejected your mail. This could be for several reasons. You may have to scroll down or even use the Screen Extender to get more messages to determine the actual cause. Possible causes:
1. The address as typed could not be delivered. Correct the address and resend.
2. The mail server at the other end could not find the name as typed. Correct the address and resend.
3. The mail server at the other end refused the email. Some spam filters will reject entire domains or mail from people with only numbers in their address.

Does my email address have to end in BulletinMail.com?

• No. Bulletin Mail turns your mobile phone into an email inbox. For email's to reach your phone, it must have a unique email server to process it but there are several domains available for use. Sign up for Bulletin Mail and start using the service.
