Why do I need a mobile phone to sign up for Touch2TXT?
You need a mobile phone capable of receiving and sending an SMS message in order to sign up for a Touch2TXT promotional account.
When you signup we need to send message to the phone. You need to reply to this message from the phone in order to verify your account.
Once your account has been verified we send you another SMS message containing your Touch2TXT username and password to the mobile phone.
What if I don't have a mobile phone?
At this time it is a requirement to have a mobile phone in order to sign up for Touch2TXT.
This may change with a future release of Touch2TXT.
How much does Touch2TXT cost?
There is no monthly subscription fee for Touch2TXT, you only pay for the messages you send.
The current cost per message is dependent on your location currency.

How do I cancel my Touch2TXT account? Back to FAQ Index
You may cancel your Touch2TXT account at any time.
To do this simply fill in the Bulletin.net support form. Select Touch2TXT as the product and put the word Cancel in the message field.
Bulletin.net Support will confirm by email that your account has been cancelled.
It's not working, what can I do?
Generally there are two main reasons why Touch2TXT won't work, either the username is entered incorrectly, or password is entered incorrectly.
Check the SMS message that Bulletin.net sent out with your username and password, and ensure you are entering them correctly. Please note that passwords etc are case sensitive.
If you are entering the username and password correctly and you are still unable to get Touch2TXT to work, please see Getting additional help.
Can I use Touch2TXT on my iPhone?
Yes you can use Touch2TXT on iPhone.
Touch2TXT is a web application for mobile Safari so it will work on both iPod Touch and iPhone.
Touch2TXT is primarily aimed at the iPod Touch as it doesn't have a native SMS application, whereas the iPhone does.
How can I create contacts?
Currently there is no address book functionality in Touch2TXT.
This will be addressed in a future release of Touch2TXT.
I'm getting 401 errors.
See It's not working, what can I do?.
Why should I use Touch2TXT instead of product X? Back to FAQ Index
There are many products and services offering SMS capability over the Internet, but you will notice that they only provide the ability to send messages. Touch2TXT is unique in that you are able to send and receive SMS messages.
Touch2TXT uses mTag™ technology from Bulletin.net. This patented technology provides real two-way messaging.
Accentuated characters come out wrong.
There are currently some encoding limitations on some of the gateways we use to route messages.
This means that if you send characters like " ã " through Touch2TXT the recipient may see them as " ?? ".
Bulletin.net is currently working on this limitation and will have a solution in place in the near future.
How can I delete messages?
Currently you are not able to delete messages from the Received or Sent message lists. These lists show the last 5 messages either sent or received.
This will be addressed in a future release of Touch2TXT.
Do messages show up on my phone?
Messages sent from and received to your Touch2TXT account will not show up on your mobile phone.
The only reason you need a mobile phone is for the initial validation of your account during the sign up process.
If you need additional support, please go to Bulletin.net Support Page.
